The Great Abortion Divide

My stop-motion animation explores the polarized abortion rights debate in the U.S. through symbolic imagery and storytelling. Rather than taking a stance, it highlights the lack of dialogue between opposing sides, emphasizing the need for empathy and mutual respect. By showcasing advocacy efforts and protests from both perspectives, the piece encourages viewers to move beyond entrenched beliefs and engage in open-minded reflection. I used paper cut-outs to build the foreground elements and captured each frame using a stop-motion app to bring the visuals to life. For the background, I employed a green screen and later replaced it with carefully selected imagery that reinforced the narrative, adding depth and enhancing the overall impact of the video.
